As Gramma doesn't quite get the doll thing, Elizabeth and I offered to run in and get the bagels ourselves. Nanea, Benny and Harold went, too. They wanted to get a cup of coffee (see, it's been a badge of honour for Eliot -- that he got a cup of coffee at Panera this Summer) as well as the bagels . . . but it was a lot of stuff to choose from! So, they sat down to look at the doll-sized menus that just happened to be there already.
Once we had the bag of bagels, it was time to go get the coffee. Benny volunteered to do the honours, so he took the cup, and we picked the type of coffee and filled the cup . . .
Then it was time to get the cream, stir it in and find a lid . . .
Harold rushed over to have his picture taken, that way he could send it to Eliot!
And, before we left, they all had to pose with the bag of bagels and the coffee. It was a real thrill to sit on the big table at the back of the dining room.
Now, we all got back in the car and headed over to a store called Olde Time Pottery. We have them up here, apparently, but we'd never been inside of one. Benny and Nanea decided to come in to shop, so we got a cart, and they sat together in the little seat.
We started by looking through the area of faux flowers and house plants. We found some little flowers to bring home to make hair clips for Nanea and her friends . . . and some little faux house plants for the kitchen window at home.
There was a lot of really fun stuff in this store --- all kinds of Florida-style decorations that Benny and Nanea decided to pose with.
The rocking whale planter was really cool. In fact, it would have been pretty neat to make an Amusement Park ride for the dolls on Islandshire . . . but it was probably a bit large to bring home on the airplane. Too bad!
