After viewing the sneak peak videos last night, we were all more excited about some of these items than we'd expected! Woke up nice and early this morning to get a quick look at everything listed on AG's website. This makes it a lot easier to spot the items in the store, since they don't spotlight all the new things anywhere, and you have to know to find them mixed into the displays.
There were two new Truly Me dolls released, along with quite a number of items throughout the store. The large item released for the TM section is the very large bowling alley. This will take several blog entries to get through, so we'll start with the two new dolls . . .
Truly Me #81 - Light Skin, Brown Eyes, Long Caramel Hair
This doll features the new "light and peachy" vinyl skin tone that has only been available on #74, #78 and Blaire. She has what appear to be the same dark brown eyes of #57 (though it may just be the pale skin causing the eyes to appear darker than normal) and paler face paint and lips that are quite similar to #78. It was almost impossible to get a picture in the store that showed her natural colouring, thanks to all the hot pink in there!

Her hair is definitely the classic AG "caramel" color which is a rather ordinary medium brown. It's definitely darker than Mckenna's wig -- more along the lines of Marie-Grace, but it has more blonde highlights than MG. I have a feeling (from what people are telling me) that her hair is a similar tone to Nikki's wig, but we've never seen a Nikki . . . so, I can't really say on that one. The wig is much nicer in person than it appears in photographs, being very loose curls or a strong wave. It's a full wig, too, which means that it looks good in some styles. You can also separate it for pigtails or doggy-ears, and you don't see the wig cap. She appeared to have some of the shorter hairs inside the wig, rather like Caroline's wig.
Truly Me #82 - Med. Skin, Brown Eyes, Long Black/Brown Hair
This doll is, presumably, the Truly Me replacement for Josefina (who is soon to be cubed or retired). While the hair seems too long, I think little girls will probably enjoy it -- as will anyone who was keen on Kanani's super-long tresses.
It's a very nice wig with a LOT of hair. One of the display dolls had her hair in doggy-ears, and you could not see the wig cap in the back. Very nice. The face paint on this doll is just right, being not too heavy or too light. She's very beautiful. If you've already got Josefina and/or Luciana, then she may feel like too much of the same -- but she's a very nice addition to the TM case. She's very beautiful, and if the hair seems a bit long . . . it wouldn't be hard to trim just a bit off to make her more natural.
Both of these new dolls have the new "good" eyes and thick body fabric. Hopefully, the photos above show the eyes well. Here are two photos that show a bit of the body fabric and the neck join.

#82 is definitely a doll that you notice. She was easy to spot in the displays, and you never confused her with other dolls. #81, however, was not particularly extraordinary, in my opinion. In fact, my sister and I were almost done photographing the new Mix-and-Match pieces before we realized that one of the dolls we'd been holding was her. She looks like "one of the crowd" -- which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But if you're looking for a doll that's a stunner or eye catcher, this one probably isn't it. She's pretty in a normal sort of way.
